FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
 Financial Assistance takes shape in many different forms. Southfield Youth Assistance can often provide assistance for the following items:
  • Camp - The City of Southfield, through the Parks & Rec Department, offers a host of day, overnight, and specialize camps all year long. Many of these help children find friends, learn new skills, to get along with others.
  • Summer School - Often a student needs to repeat a single class in the summer in order to graduate, etc.
  • Tutoring - Private tutoring can help a student in a subject where they are having problems.
  • Special Program - These might take the form of anger management, self-discipline, self-esteem, etc.
 
All of these above items are covered in our Skill Building program.
 
To qualify for financial assistance in our Skill Building program the following will apply:
  1. Your household income must fall within the HUD guidelines - see chart.
  2. You must agree to accept and follow Southfield Youth Assistance guidelines - see guidelines.
  3. You must submit a completed and signed application to our office for consideration. This application may be printed out blank (just click on PRINT at the top of the form and then completed by pen), or completed online (click on PRINT at the end of the form). Get Application.
